For starters, I apologize for having turned into one of the biggest blog slackers ever. I assure you this absence is not attributed to a lack of activity in the Bucy household. In fact, activity is the problem... there is just way TOO much going on!
Nonetheless, I'm going to make a concerted effort to return to my digital journaling. I'd love for some of you to be able to catch-up on everything that is happening in our lives, and I know Mike and I will appreciate the "scrapbook" of memories in years to come.
So entry #1 in the return of ie Adventures is going to start with pictures from last weekend. One of my best friends from elementary school, Elena Menendez Hume, turned 30. (BTW: yes, this is hard to fathom, and yes this means I too am nearing the third decade of life!) To celebrate this momentous occasion, Elena's adorable husband invited Mollie, Candice Nicole and me to a surprise birthday party at the new Ritz Carlton in Charlotte. If birthdays from here on out end up being anywhere close to as spectacular as Elena's was on Saturday night, I think old age is going to suit me quite well!
